Reading Material

My class assignment this week was to photograph things in my bedroom.  At first, I wasn't wild about the assignment because I did not think it would be interesting visually.  I was also self conscious about the clutter that I knew was in my bedroom.  But as I took the photographs, I realized that I was revealing who I am.  It turns out that my bedroom says a lot about me.  For instance, check out this pile of magazines that are constantly piled next to my bed.  This is a source of irritation to my husband.  Why do I do it?  There are a few reasons.  I love movies so I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly.

  1. Assignments like these are exercises to stretch the mind more than anything. Like you say once you begin a lot of thoughts flow into your head and you may see things differently. It's about letting go of our preconditions to create --- like having orderly or presentable subject matter. Sometimes it's best to shoot first and ask questions later....

  3. Your pictures and words really do tell about you. I love learning about people and I found your post fascinating.
Now, when I want to find out about good movies can I call you?
And, by the way, that was NOT a messy pile of magazines. It put my chair-side table to shame.
